GEKKO - battery-powered data logger

GEKKO – battery-powered data logger is particularly flexible in use as it connects to many devices. E.g. it perfect for overflow registration.

ACOWA´s GEKKO - Battery-powered data logger

The GEKKO battery-powered data logger is used in water applications such as H2S detection, level measurement as well as overflow registration. It offers numerous benefits, due to its robust IP 67 industrial design and versatile capabilities. Below are the key advantages of using GEKKO.

Replaceable modules for future technology

Firstly, GEKKO’s communication modules are mounted on separate boards, allowing for easy adaptation to future communication technologies without replacing the entire data logger. Whether it’s 4G, 5G, or other emerging technologies, GEKKO can be upgraded to support the latest communication standards.

The GEKKO - battery-powered data logger is highly portable

Secondly, the GEKKO is compact and lightweight, making it highly portable. Its battery-powered operation eliminates the need for external power sources, allowing you to easily move and deploy the data logger in remote locations.

Furthermore, GEKKO has flexible power options. It can be powered by either 2 D-size lithium batteries, which can be inserted either directly into the unit or offered as an external battery pack. However, GEKKO also provides the flexibility for an external 12-30V DC power source, which enables the use of solar cells, wind turbines, water turbines, or similar options.

Future-Proof Communication with GEKKO

Thirdly, GEKKO has the capability to gather data and record signals of various kinds via external standard 4-20mA equipment. This versatility makes it ideal for applications such as H2S detection, measuring levels, temperature, and pH, as well as capturing stormflow patterns and precipitation data.

The GEKKO also empowers users to define customized logging and call intervals. Thereby optimizing its functionality for specific application needs. In addition, the system features an event-driven logging function, which allows for heightened logging and call frequency based on analog limits or digital inputs.

Communication on GEKKO - battery-powered data logger

Fourthly, GEKKO has flexible communication capabilities. It supports RS485 MODBUS communication, allowing easy integration and data exchange with external devices and systems.

Additionally, it can communicate via standard MODBUS TCP/IP or SMS commands. The data logger is equipped with a 4G modem (2G, 3G, and 4G) or a Sigfox modem, providing reliable and flexible communication options for remote monitoring.

Easy connectivity to visualization platforms

Lastly, data generated by GEKKO can be effectively visualized through SCADA-systems, AcowaCore as well as other third-party software platforms. For easy setup simply connect via a USB cabel using the free configuration tool: AcowaZoo. Or alternatively connect wirelessly to AcowaCore.
